I'm in the 14-16-ish range. I sweat way too much- from the pits, hands, and, occasionally, the feet. I'm not exaggerating in the slightest.
I'm not overweight, at least according to BMI, but I'm not exactly on the very beginning of the scale, either.
Would they treat me? Would it be permanent or what? (And could I get something permanent, assuming I have a problem?) How long would said treatments last?
Is there any disorder/diease that could be casuing this? (Other than stressing over the sweating, I rarely stress over anything.)
How would a doctor treat a young teen who sweats excessively?
I have the same problem, I am a sweat hog. My mom (i am 17) called my doctor and he recommended trying this MAXIM ANTIPERSPIRANTstuff where you have to order online. What you do is make sure you shower at night, then when you go into bed, you put it on and let it dry. Then in the morning you are more than welcome to put on good smelling deodorant then you don't sweat in the arm pits as much.
You can put it anywhere else you sweat alot.
It works like magic, I swear by this.
At first you need to put it on everynight for a week,
then you can go two or three days without re-applying it because its doing its duty!
I really hope this helps.
It helped me.
The website for it is:

enjoy!
Reply:maybe you should try deodorant.
Reply:I would do some blood work. It would test for diabetes and thyroid. I would also test for TB.
Hope this helps, Merry Christmas.

Heres a couple links for you. I suffered from the same thing when i was around your age up until about 20. Mine was only pits, i used something called Certain Dri, you can get it at the drug store - works wonders like you would not believe, but im not sure if its safe to use on hands and feet, some products arent. So after around 20ish, i did not even have to use the Certani dri anymore, my pits stay dry ALWAYS now, never ever sweat...but now my hands and feet sweat, go figure......so expect possible side effects with any treatment you may use. There are surgeries and other options available if nothing else works. Most likely, it is a hormonal thing, which is what i think mine was, so opt for non surgical if possible, just talk to a doctor, a specialist if possible, and they will go over your possible causes and options.
Reply:I assume you have seen a dermatologist.. that is a skin specialist and they can be VERY helpful. You are still developing.. at your age, this may be result of hormones. If dr. determines that is not the issue, and you have tried various antipersperants/meds, the ulimate relief may be Botox injections into the sweat glands. My sis is having this done, but she is 37...
BTW, meds can cause sweating, especially the SRI antidepressants. Discuss with your dr. any meds, and have a basic blood panel. AND see the dermatologist!!
Reply:Try getting botox injections on your sweaty areas. Sounds wierd, but I promise it works. If you get the CertainDri and it doesn't work.... ask about the injections. They aren't very painful and last for a few months at a time. The botox helps to deaden the sweat gland. If the sweats bad enough, you'll try anything.
Reply:Go to a dermatologist, they will prescribe a prescription antipersperant and do some lab work and maybe a skin sample and see if there is a bacterial cause for it and give you some antibiotics if it is. They might try acutane as well, although it is primarily for acne but it would help dry the skin out. It is a vitamin A derivative that causes the skin to not produce as much moisture.
