I can't sleep past 4 am anymore, how do I stop this?

I go to bed at anytime between 9 pm to midnight, but I always wake up at 4 am and can't go back to sleep. I don't have any trouble falling asleep, and I don't have strange dreams, sleep disorders, sleepwalking, or cold sweats. I also don't have to be at work until 7:30 am.

I need suggestions on what to do. Thanks.

How do you know you don't have any sleep disorders? Have you ever had a sleep study done?

Most people don't realize they are having bad dreams, sleep disorders, sleepwalking, etc. Most the time these things don't occur every single night, but you still wake up every night. I would see about having a sleep study done if you haven't had one already.

It could just be, as said before, that you're body is trying to tell you it doesn't need any more sleep.
Reply:Wait until the weekend or at least a day when you don't work the next day. Stay awake until 4 am. Go to sleep. You wont wake up at 4 am. Hopefully it should help your sleep pattern too.

If that doesn't work, try working out or going for a run in the evening.

If still not, then your body is telling you don't need anymore sleep then you are already getting.
Reply:If you like infusion, try to take the famous lime-blossom tea to calm yourself down before sleeping. In all the case stay in bed as you lay awake n never switch the lamp on, while you try to keep your eyes closed and back to sleep.

Try to sleep more at midnight instead of at 9pm.

And if things are just the same for you.... Well!

Some people just need fewer hours of sleeping. If even after sleeping just for few hours, you pass your day fine and well, then I think there's nothing you should worry about, shouldn't you?
