When you eat spicy food, does your scalp sweat?

When I eat spicy foods, the top of my scalp instantly sweats..in fact..if I hold a hot pepper in my fingers, my scalp will sweat. Also, I'm bald on the top of my scalp, and was wondering if anyone has the same symptoms. My thinking it is some rare eating disorder and I'm trying to correlate baldness with the head sweating (clogging pores) Anyone share anything?

Everyone does. It is a reaction to the chemical in the food. In nature, this is the food's (usually peppers) defense against being eaten by causing negative side effects, pain and sweating, that we as humans enjoy to an extent.
Reply:Of course not, maybe u just can't eat it or can't take it cause i just love hot food
Reply:maybe but my ears steam up
Reply:no
Reply:As far as I know sweating occurs mainly on areas of skin where Eccrine sweat glands are located with the forehead, hands and feet being particularly populated. I think that loss of hair possibly exposes more of these glands on the surface thus you have more noticable sweating. Hairs are are airconditioning system so if we loose them, we are unable to cool ourselves.
Reply:no just your face
