Does anybody sweat in their sleep?

I am on an antidepressant for panic disorder. Shortly after starting this medication I started waking in the night sweaty. My heart would also be racing. I quit the medicine for about 6 months and I had the sweats less frequently. I started the drug again about 2 months ago and now they are almost every night. I wake up, not drenched, but a little sticky with sweat. I don't have to change my clothes or anything. Does anybody else experience this? My husband thinks it is hormones.

Does anybody sweat in their sleep?
Everybody sweats in their sleep. The antidepressant you are on may be causing this as a side effect. I know that some mood stabilizers have cotton-mouth as a side effect so maybe this is kinda the same.

Either way ask your Dr if this is normal. The dosage may be to high.
Reply:Now you should get an anti-perspirant. Seriously though, kick the anti-depressant. It will mess things up more than it will fix them and I hope you don't have to find out the hard way.
Reply:Yea but its not because im depressed. i actually dont know why. Its always really hard to get some sleep afterwards too.
Reply:it could be hormones...you might be going thru menopause. Also you might want to check the flyer out for adverse reactions to the medication you are taking.
Reply:I do, but the climate may justify it here in Honduras. Anyway, the body may respond like that when the nervous system has extra activity, so I think the drug makes some hormone glands trigger, just like your husband says.
Reply:How old are you? I'm 42 and have been getting them for a few years now on and off. My doc says it's night sweats due to hormonal changes (peri menopause).
Reply:nope
Reply:It sounds like something to further explore with your doctor. Perhaps your house is just too hot though.
Reply:yea my mother sweat in hers it nothing but ur nerves
